I was blessed to have several inspiring role models in my family. The one external role model with the most significant impact – THREE Time World Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali.
I attended segregated schools until the seventh grade. Do not feel for me, as I received a significantly better education in that segregated school.
Muhammad Ali was a bold and proud black man, loudly proclaiming his greatness and good looks. Ali was beautiful before BLACK BECAME BEAUTIFUL! He was brash, opinionated, funny, and he taught me I could become anything I worked hard enough to achieve regardless of my skin color.
