Creating Wealth Is Just Another Game – But First Learn The Rules!

Disclaimer: Good Day, Readers.  The WealthBuildingPowers blog is a financial literacy and competency blog, and it does not provide specific investment recommendations.

🏈Fumbled Fortunes: Why Wealth Is Just Another Game You’ve Gotta Learn to Play

Picture this: a teenager who’s never seen a TV is plopped in front of an NFL game. She watches in wide-eyed confusion as a swarm of oversized men crash into each other like caffeinated rhinos. There’s a weirdly shaped ball—sort of like a loaf of bread with commitment issues—that gets thrown, handed off, or punted like it owes someone money. Occasionally, everyone celebrates wildly, even though it’s not clear what just happened.

To her, it’s chaos. To the fans? Strategy and enjoyment. Because they know the rules.

Now, swap out the football field for Wall Street.

And the players for people sipping oat milk lattes. You want to join the game—maybe even win it—but you’re not sure what a stock, bond, ETF, Mutual Fund, Bitcoin, and many other financial instruments are, or why you would buy them.

You Do NOT Grasp the Rules!

If you don’t understand the rules, you’re not just confused—you’re losing. And in the game of wealth, the rulebook is called Financial Literacy.

Learn it, and suddenly the chaos starts to look like choreography. You stop chasing the ball and start calling the plays.

If we want better children, we must become better adults. If we want stronger communities, we must first strengthen ourselves.
