LET ME GET THIS RIGHT – BROWN PEOPLE ARE TOO STUPID TO BE PROFICIENT AT MATH, READING, AND WRITING? WRONG!

How many of you are shocked and offended by today’s title?  I hope all of you are!  If you have read my blogs before, you realize This is NOT my opinion.  However, when you review the recent actions taken by our Federal and State governments and Universities, that is the sad reality their programs endorse. 

America’s big-city/urban public schools consistently fail to provide African American and Hispanic students with the education required to get ahead.  

RECENT RESULTS FROM THE NATIONAL ASSESSMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRESS

Of the 27 U.S. urban school districts for 2019, including Boston, Chicago, Fort Worth, Texas, and Los Angeles, ZERO demonstrates the majority of the black eighth-graders are proficient in math or reading 

Most urban school districts scored in the low teens for Math and Reading.  The best urban school districts scored less than twenty-five percent of black eighth-graders proficient in math and reading.  Many of these school districts’ proficiency rates for black eighth-graders are down in the single digits. 

In other words, producing students who achieved an F- grade.

Instead of addressing poor and unacceptable achievement, the government pours more money into the existing failed structure, eliminates tests that expose its failure, and imposes race-based preferences to cover this national crisis.   

RECENT DECISIONS MADE BY OUR POLITICIANS, SCHOOLS, AND UNIVERSITIES

o California Leftists Try to Cancel Math ClassThe framework recommends eight times that teachers use a troubling document, “A Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction: Dismantling Racism in Mathematics Instruction.” This manual claims that teachers addressing students’ mistakes forthrightly is a form of white supremacy. It sets forth indicators of “white supremacy culture in the mathematics classroom,” including a focus on “getting the right answer,” teaching math in a “linear fashion,” requiring students to “show their work” and grading them on demonstrated knowledge of the subject matter. “The concept of mathematics being purely objective is unequivocally false,” the manual explains. “Upholding the idea that there are always right and wrong answers perpetuates ‘objectivity.

o Mediocrity Is Now Mandatory From stimulus to school admissions, leaders act as if ease is the only worthy goal:  “One high school near me just dropped freshman advanced-standing (honors) English “to combat the effects of academic ‘tracking” because it “ultimately separates students of different socioeconomic and racial backgrounds.” It turns out that middle schools from lower-income areas aren’t adequately preparing their students for high school. So rather than fix that problem, they dumbed down high school.

LET’S LOOK AT – STUDY HOURS

According to research by the Brookings Institution’s Michael Hansen and Diana Quintero, black high-school students spend a little more than a quarter of the time on homework that Asian students do and half the time of white students.

There is a direct correlation between these test scores, study time and future SUCCESS!

MONEY IS NOT THE PROBLEM

“Of the 100 largest public-school systems (based on enrollment), the six that spent the most per pupil in F.Y. 2019 were the New York City School District in New York ($28,004), Boston City Schools in Massachusetts ($25,653), Washington Schools in the District of Columbia ($22,406), San Francisco Unified in California ($17,228), Atlanta School District in Georgia ($17,112), and Seattle Public Schools in Washington ($16,543).” San Francisco and Seattle aren’t part of the Trial Urban District Assessment districts reporting their scores. But the other four are, and their scores for black achievement are as bad as the rest. Now imagine what this means in real-life terms for most black students who are not proficient in these skills. For most, it implies consignment to a place on the margins of the American Dream.

Politicians answer not by making it easier for these kids to get into schools where poor children are achieving, whether charter or parochial schools. Instead, they focus on getting rid of the embarrassment by eliminating the achievement tests that expose it, doubling down on race preferences, and trying to hamstring the schools that show black children can and do learn in the right environment.

CONCLUSION – LET ME GET THIS RIGHT – BROWN PEOPLE ARE TOO STUPID TO BE PROFICIENT AT MATH, READING, AND WRITING? WRONG!

When I speak with many young brown men and women, I see future engineers, doctors, lawyers, Wall Street Managers, Business Owners.   I see more than entertainers, multi-millionaire athletes, and a lot more than street thugs.  We must encourage every child to work on becoming the best version of themselves.  

This DUMBING DOWN OF AMERICA is a one-way ticket to FAILURE.  We will not lift any race by dumbing down the education system, so we “feel better”.  We cannot raise any group of people out of poverty by spouting lies. We must start with facts to close the decades-long Education, Health, and Wealth gaps between Black and Brown versus Whites and Asian Americans.    

In the U.S. today, too many black and browns are at the bottom of society in Health, Education, and Wealth.  Unfortunately, beyond athleticism, one of the few categories where black’s and Brown’s lead – Prison Incarceration.  

The path to financial freedom and wealth is best achieved by EDUCATION.  Even the multi-millionaire athletes and entertainers require education.  Professional athletes train six to eight hours per day.  Their practice sessions are learning and fine-tuning their skills- EDUCATION.  The same goes for entertainers who attend Art Schools and practice their crafts for free – EDUCATION.  

My parents, teachers, and family told me early in life, with EDUCATION – I WOULD ACHIEVE ANYTHING I WORKED FOR!  I believe them AND STILL DO.  I learned from my errors and have a rainbow of people as my mentors and role models. 

WE MUST DO BETTER.  Waiting for the deceitful and lying politicians is as useless as depending on HOPE!  

Hope and Politicians are NEVER the solutions!

NOTHING MATTERS BUT YOUR WILL TO SUCCEED.  NOT THE COLOR OF YOUR SKIN, YOUR ETHNIC BACKGROUND, OR SOCIAL STATUS.  IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD, YOU GET OFF YOUR ASS EVERY TIME YOU ARE KNOCKED DOWN.
